Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday evening. The athlete was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”
The news of his discharge follows the global fight fans offered sympathy for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
